Primescape Solutions, Inc., an industry leader providing cutting edge solutions and services to federal agencies, announced that it has been appraised at Level 3 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development and Level 2 for Services. Primescape joins a select group of companies that have been successfully appraised under multiple CMMI constellations. The appraisal was performed by Norman Hammock of A-1 Independent Consulting.

Primescape Solutions, Inc. (Primescape) is pleased to announce that our Quality Management System (QMS) has been certified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant.  ISO 9001:2008 is accepted by organizations worldwide as a quality management standard.  This certification helps ensure that the policies, practices and procedures Primescape follows result in consistent quality in the services and work products we provide to our customers.

Shannon Brown, President and CEO, said “The achievement of the ISO 9001:2008 certification, as well as our CMMI-DEV Maturity  Level 3 and CMMI-SVC Maturity Level 2 appraisals earlier this year, are reflective of Primescape’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.  This certification ensures that our procedures for customer delivery and satisfaction are well documented.”

 “ISO 9001:2008 certification validates the effectiveness of the critical focus that Primescape has placed on meeting its customer’s needs,” said Quality Assurance Manager Chris Carson. “It is an important step for Primescape to meet our quality objectives to focus on customer satisfaction and strive to continually improve our processes, procedures and practices.”

The scope of the QMS registration includes Outsourcing Solutions (Staffing) Services, Program Management Services and Business Solutions Services for the Federal Government.  The Primescape certification excludes the following clauses:  Design and Development (7.3), Service Provision (7.5) and Control of Monitoring and Measurement Equipment (7.6).

CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well-characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. The organization’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for maturity level 3, is established

The Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Has Appraised Primescape at CMMI Maturity Level 2

The evaluation utilized the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) and three representative projects wereevaluated. This highly sought after CMMI Maturity Level rating recognizes Primescape’s ability to provide high quality software products and services to our customers. It also affords Primescape the ability to pursue opportunities restricted to companies with this specific rating.

Primescape has again been named by Washington Technology Magazine as a 2011 Top 25 8(a) Prime Contractor . This is the second consecutive year that Primescape has made the Top 25 list.

Washington Technology Magazine is a publication of 1105 Government Information Group, the leading media company targeting public sector markets. Created in 2006, through the merger of FCW Media Group (publishers of Federal Computer Week) and Post Newsweek Tech Media (publishers of Government Computer News, Washington Technology, Defense Systems and FOSE), 1105 Government Information Group is committed to serving government readers and advertisers with timely and targeted information.

The 2011 Top 25 8(a) rankings are based on an analysis of federal procurement data using the same group of product and service codes used to rank the annual Top 100 contractors. The codes cover IT, telecommunications, systems integration, engineering services, professional services and other IT-related spending by government agencies. Among the Top 25 8(a) companies, Primescape was 14th in total revenue.

Washington Technology ranked the most successful 8(a) companies according to their prime contracting revenue in 2009. The rankings exclude Alaska Native Corporations and tribally owned companies. The list was compiled by the market research firm FedSources. Washington Technology Top 25 8(a) Rankings.

Ms. Elaine Duke, Deputy Under Secretary for Management, presented the Small Business Achievement Award from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) award to Bob Dacanay, President and CEO of Primescape Solutions, Inc., during the 5th Annual DHS Small Business Awards Ceremony held in Washington, D.C. Primescape received this award for its outstanding service in support of the DHS mission—One Team, One Mission, Securing our Homeland. Specifically, Primescape was recognized for its support to the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) during the FY 2008.

Primescape has been listed in the FedSource’s Top 25 Small Businesses Working with the Federal Government at the Department of Treasury and Department of State. FedSources is the nation’s premier provider of government market intelligence. It released the figures listing the top 25 small businesses working with the Federal Government in the areas of information technology and professional services. The figures provide rankings across 21 different organizations. According to FedSources, the rankings reflect analysis of 2007 contract dollars from the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), and company information from the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). More than 1,000 companies were analyzed.

October 2006

Washington Technology magazine posted the 2006 top federal contractors. Primescape is listed as number 22. The companies were ranked according to their total IT prime contracting dollars in fiscal 2005, not just their 8(a) dollars.

September 2006

Primescape was nominated to be small business of the year for the Department of the Treasury due to Primescape’s professional and technical support to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. December 2005

Primescape was nominated to be small business of the year for the Department of the Treasury due to Primescape’s outstanding professional and technical support to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. During the past year, Primescape has exceled in the performance of its OCC contracts in quality of product and services, timeliness of performance, business relations, and project management.
